Photos and videos from our Big Top performance
What an amazing week of musical mission!
CreationFest is one of the UK’s best Christian music festivals. Surrounded by stunning Cornish countryside, it’s an amazing camping getaway too – especially as festival entry is free. With that and the wide range of activities for kids, CFest deserves its glowing reputation.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of how excited I was when Rob Westall asked me to join his band to play the Big Top stage.
Rob is a lovely Welsh bloke who divides his time between working full-time, raising a family and writing/performing his heartfelt worship songs. He is the king of juggling acts (perhaps that’s why they gave him the Big Top stage?!) and as a result his debut album is still in the works. You can expect it early next year – and honestly, it will be worth the wait.
As well as Rob, the CreationFest performance meant I got to sing alongside a number of other humble, lovely, genuine lads who made up the Rob Westall Band.
Now a gig as prestigious as CreationFest is exciting, don’t get me wrong, but I really think the highlight for me was meeting this group of exceptionally brilliant and super lovely chaps.
I wasn’t given the chance to be intimidated by their excellent musicianship and established professionalism; everyone was welcoming, encouraging, smiley and humble right from the moment I met them, without an ego in sight. (I could mention here that this first meeting was a couple of hours before our first gig together at Gateway Church in Abergavenny – to a sellout audience of 200 – but some details are best left out :P)
We’re playing again!
Like food? Can you travel to Chepstow next Sunday? You're golden!

We’re taking Rob’s music to the stage again for the Wye Valley Food Festival!
Plus: BONUS! I’ll be on the bill too!
From 3pm on Sunday 2nd September, you can come and see me singing a collection of upbeat, contemporary covers and a few much-loved originals on the festival’s main stage. Immediately afterwards, stick around to hear Rob and his full band sounding awesome and they fill the festival air with rocking contemporary worship music!
The food festival is FREE, and brings together music, cookery masterclasses, family fun and obviously FOOD over two days at Chepstow Racecourse, starting on Saturday 1st September. You literally need to be there. Did I mention it’s a food festival?
