I’ve set myself a challenging goal, and I need your help to achieve it.
To use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and SoundCloud to feed 500 Christians with proper 'solid food'
So I’m sitting here, with three beautifully produced songs and a passion to keep pushing forward into a singing ministry. I’m not pursuing acclamation, I’m not even pursuing an income (as my incredible husband knows all too well) I’m pursuing a closer relationship with God and an opportunity to serve his people by stepping into his calling to use my Talents & Passions.
But you know what? Those beautiful songs and those talents and passions aren’t going to do much good unless people know about them. So I think it’s time I gave a few more doors a little push. Getting on music distribution sites like iTunes and Spotify is one step, the next step is telling people I’m there!
So here's the plan...
500 Followers And I’ll Reveal a New Song I am Working On.
I genuinely think it’s the coooolest one yet! If you like grungey electric guitars and a strong beat you will love it. If you like gospel-style vocal runs and a funky melody you will love it. If you like lyrics that come from a very real place you will love it.
WE CAN TOTALLY DO THIS.
But why do I want to grow my network?
So that every lyric, every life-giving Bible verse, every poignant tune and truth-filled song can reach the people God wants them to. So that “wobbly” Christians can be encouraged and built-up. So that faithful people can be empowered to witness to their friends. And so that people can get deeper with God; exploring themes like God’s plan for our lives and the difference Jesus makes.
Through my songs and experiences, I want Him to be glorified and for more people to meet him and walk closer with him. It’s my foot-washing.
I’m not satisfied to stay where I am now, and I know God’s plan is to do more with my gifts than I could possibly ask or imagine. PLUS, 500 people will result (hopefully!) in more downloads, which means a bit more money towards recording the demo album which is still 3 tracks away. (Unfortunately each track costs hundreds to record and produce – if you think that’s a lot wait ’til you read the other costs involved in making music!)
And of course, more active followers will help build more momentum and help us reach even more people faster.
So I am asking for 500 followers (currently 331), and let’s see how many we get!
